10 Bushido Judo Kwai junior members took part in the All England Judo Federation Northern Regional Grading at the Riverside Leisure Centre, Morpeth, Northumberland, on Sunday 11th December, taking part for Bushido Judo Kwai were, Jack Barnett, Millie Williams, Jessica Bate, Adam Bamford, Lewis Andrews, Jessie Beckingham, Jake Taylor, Matthew Potts, Lydia Bamford, Callum Taylor, Instructors Rob Stewart 1st Dan and Chris Dawson 7th Dan.

Jessica and Mathews both champions
Both of these young judoka, Jessica and Mathew took part in our monthly club championship, we look for the best technique of the night and the winner goes through with a possibility of winning our Judoka of the Year Award at the end of the year. Tonight we had two winners, well done to you both and good luck.

Three from Three.
L/R, Jack Barnett 13, Mille Williams 12, and Lewis Andrews 14, all competed at the NE Youth Open Judo Championship at the Parks Sports Centre in North Shields today. All three won Silver awards, Jack in the Junior Boys u50k, Millie in the Junior Girls o60k and Lewis Andrews Boys o60k.
Our three entrants have put a lot of training in for this event and it has paid off, Well done !

Blyth's Jessica Bate won our monthly trophy tonight, this will go towards finding our Judoka of the Year, at the end of December, Jessica won tonight with a brilliant Tani Otoshi.

This is the Bushido Judo Kwai Junior squad who competed at the Blyth Juno Michi Judo Open at Benfield Sports Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, on Sunday 10 July.We won 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 5 Bronze, 1 R Up.

Lydia wins Bushido Top Award.
10 year old Lydia Bamford has won the Stephen Milsted Award for 2016, Lydia won the award when she ended our year at the top of our medal chart, this is the most important award given by our club and is presented as close to our clubs birthday (May 3rd) as possible, Sharon Holman May who as a junior member of our club won this award in 1982, Presented the award to Lydia.

Millie is our Judoka of the Year 2015.
Twelve year old Millie Williams with her Judoka of the Year Award and instructor Chris Dawson, who presented Mille with the award at the club's dojo in Wallsend.
Mille who lives in Walkerville with her parents and sister fellow judoka Jessie.
