Congratulations to Joyce Kenny 6th Dan

Congratulations to Joyce Kenny who was presented with the grade of 6th Dan (Judo), by Robin Otani, President of the British Judo Council, while at a judo course in Kendal, Cumbria at the weekend, Joyce who began her judo career 53 years ago, with her now husband Eddie, at the Hokojun Judo Club in North Shields. Both Joyce and Eddie have given so much to our sport in this area, far more than most people would believe.  Well Done !!!!

I.B.F Scotland, Judo Open, Dumfries, 2013.

Four junior members from Wallsend's Bushido Judo Kwai competed at the International Budo Federation, Scottish Judo Open, Dumfries, Scotland on Saturday 20th July 2013, with great success, winning two Golds, two Silvers and one Bronze.

The standard of judo at this competition was spectacularly high, from both juniors and seniors.
These youngsters of our's train twice per week (Every week) and really do deserve there success !!!
